Charter Schools are a new alternative to public education in Missouri. Charter schools are independent public schools authorized to operate under a charter or contract with the state of Missouri. Charter schools are created by teachers, parents or citizens with a common educational mission. There are no admission requirements and enrollment is open to all students limited only by the capacity of the school. Click here for a list of St. Louis Charter Schools.
